I double dare you - Fellow Interior Design Member

fantasy land

fuzzy pink

one dark night

the secret life

Originally from Europe, I am a fine art photographer, painter, graphic and a web designer.

I studied art, music, photography and design
for many years, and nothing inspires me more
then traveling and seeing different places.
I love to work with vintage cameras, different textures and materials, paper, old ephemera
to make collages, tags and postcards.
When I travel, I like to look for different
vintage pieces that catch my eye,
and you can find some of them in my shop.

Even in this digital and computer age,
I still prefer to use alternative processes
such as polaroids, film, polaroid transfers, emultion lifts hand stamping and gocco printing.
My tools are different cameras, some digital but mostly vintage, wacom tablet, computer, pencils, markers, ink, scanners, paper, paint and everything else i could think of.

maka le wakan

cathy savels

Maka Le Wakan is from the Sioux language meaning The Earth is Sacred. I make nature inspired objects for the home using just about any materials I find around me. I'm also a mixed media artist so I'm constantly on the look out for materials to use in my work. I used to be an interior designer, hence my love for decorative objects. I live in an isolated part of France with my partner and 4 cats, surrounded by old volcanoes, lakes and forests which is what inspires me both in creating these objects and my paintings. It's 1 hour from any shops so I've learned to be very inventive and I've certainly become better at improvising since I've lived here! It's also quite cold so many hours are spent in front of the fire just making things and being creative.

Gerry Giraffe

We, 'elly nelly', are a mother & daughter team, Elaine & Nell Oliver. Both experienced textile designers with an intense interest in pattern. With our own unique creative approach to design we were inspired to set up our own studio.

Our aim is to produce a creative range of designs using different mediums. Wall decals are the first of many products we hope to develop.

A fusion of hand illustration & stylized modern graphics bring the 'elly nelly' series alive.

From simple organic & nature inspired designs to delicate prints & pattern of all kinds, elly nelly hope you enjoy our designs as much as we love creating them!

Elaine lives in Cairns, Australia while Nell is based in New York, USA.

Color My World

Poppy Red

Add an eye- popping accent to your décor with this pretty red silk pillow! The white flowers freely cascade on both sides, and the painted red silk is finished with a process similar to sand-washing, which leaves it soft and muted looking. Pillow is 18 inches square.

Paige

This hand painted Crepe de Chine silk scarf is light and floaty and easy to drape. The hue is an acid green and the flowers scattered throughout are pretty and white. The colors are heat set to insure colorfastness. The scarf measures 8 X 54 inches and has a hand rolled hem. Perfect for spring and summer!

Sari Print

This is a print of my original artwork, digitally enhanced and professionally printed on matte finish, Kodak Supra Endura Archival Paper. The image is 5x7" and is printed on 8x10" paper.

Hi there! Welcome to PK Fairaday- I hope my shop conveys my passion for color and design. My shop items tend to be as varied as my interests, but my take on color is what drives me...

bio written by Annie Stela:

Rachel Demsick has had an artist's eye from the beginning. Growing up in the small town of Franklin, MI, she used art to make the world around her her own, whether it was painting designs across the walls of her teenage bedroom or filling endless journals with drawings and collages. After graduating high school, Rachel moved to Ann Arbor, where she studied art and design and began to take photographs of the city and her friends. An avid reader and a music fan from birth (thanks to her parents), she takes her inspiration from the books and songs she loves. Whether its a baby's enormous grey eyes staring out at you or red painted toenails wading in a river, Rachel's truth comes across in every photograph she takes. It is a truth that she finds in a shadow that cuts across a wall, in a hand shielding the sun, in the everyday moments that the rest of us let pass by.

I like the colour grey, summer breezes, foxgloves, vinyl records and Nick Cave.
